It appears that Dua Lipa has managed to find herself in a bit of trouble in terms of her 2020 fan favourite track ‘Levitating’, as it has been announced this week that she will be sued over the song due to understandable similarities found by another artist.
Thought she experienced a tremendous amount of success back when the song was released in the midst of the pandemic year, a band named Atrikal Sound System spoke up when noticing some key similarities between their 2017 single released which was named ‘Live Your Life’ and Dua’s hit ‘Levitating’.
In reference to a selection of documents that were released to the press, Artikal Sound System believe that the 26-year-old ‘New Rules’ star and her musical team had heard the song originally and then chose to create an almost identical representation of the track but in a different format. Although not going into detail into this officially, there have been some understandable comparisons to be heard between the two songs.
Luckily, Dua Lipa’s fighting spirit appears to still be ever present as she continues to share with fans that she has been writing and creating consistently and cannot wait to share her new work with her audiences.
