It has been released that BLACKPINK have become the first ever K-Pop girl band to achieve a Number 1 on The UK’s Official Album Charts with their newest work ‘BORN PINK’. The South-Korean power house group, being made up of the singers Jisoo, Rosé, Jennie and Lisa, have managed to claim that UK top spot for the first time ever with their latest LP.
The chief executive of the Official Charts Company had shared his huge congratulations to the group, sharing that this will in fact put them into the record books forever! Expressing what an incredible achievement this is for any creative managing to achieve a first time record within the charts, he continued to share what a fantastic result this is for the girl group.
Having gone strength to strength in recent years, it is to no surprise that BLACKPINK have made such an impactful stance within the music industry – we can’t wait to see what they do next!
