George’s connection to Nordoff Robbins stems from many moons ago, as when he was in his late 20’s was awarded the with the Nordoff Robbins’ iconic Silver Clef Award for his impressive and unshakable contribution to UK music.

When receiving the award that year, in his famous George Michael fashion chose to bid a substantial amount for a guitar which he then gave back to the charity to be re-auctioned for the following year. As a man who was filled with endless generosity and care for the arts, it is a true honour to still have his name and legacy shared within this amazingly organisation and will hopefully continue to do so in years to come.
