Rising pop star Cat Burns has returned to fans with new release ‘People pleaser’ alongside additional track ‘Sleep At Night’.
Critically acclaimed and NME 100 alumni, Cat Burns has been making a name for herself amongst the charts and popular music scene, collaborating with the likes of RnB star Mahalia. Previously releasing her debut EP ‘Emotionally Unavailable’ earlier this year and collaborating with Sam Smith, these two recent releases match the quality and expression of her personality perfectly.
‘People Pleaser’ is lyrically extremely relatable and has fans connected with it more so than any other release Cat has produced. Sonically very similar to the likes of Ed Sheeran, the song incorporates simple melodies and is performed with controlled vocals. The layers of the song elevate the vocal above the upbeat production.
Discussing ‘People Pleaser’, Burns said: “‘People Pleaser’ is what it says on the tin, my struggles with being a people pleaser and why I am one.”
