SAINT MARS ENLIST MASSIVE ATTACK GUITARIST AND VIRAL ‘HELLO’ SINGER

Saint Mars enlist 13-year-old singer Tryzdin Grubbs who went viral with his cover of Adele's Hello

Massive Attack guitarist Angelo Bruschini and his band Saint Mars have teamed up with viral singer Tryzdin Grubbs for anti-bullying anthem ‘Somewhere Somebody’.

Thirteen-year-old Grubbs shot to fame two years ago when a Youtube video of him singing Adele’s Hello went stratospheric, accumulating nearly 3.4 million views so far (not including many more millions across international media). The clip caught the attention of Saint Mars keyboardist and singer Marc Darcange and the band (completed by bassist, keyboardist and singer, Jason X (ex-Transposer), flew him out to American to contribute vocals to their forthcoming concept album.

Celesteville‘, due out later this year, is centered on the true story of one 13 year-old boy’s tragic experience as a result of sustained bullying. The band enlisted Grubbs to give authenticity to the album tracks sung by the protagonist, little realising that Tryzdin himself has suffered significantly as a result of bullying.

‘Somewhere Somebody’ showcases Tryzdin’s mature, yearning vocals alongside some almost liquid-like keyboard atmospherics and chiming guitar. The forthcoming video reinforces the song’s narrative of the 13 year-old boy looking for love via his mobile phone, only to realise that he must love himself first.

Somewhere Somebody is the follow-up to their critically acclaimed 2017 EP, Ocean Blues.
