Ever wondered what the Swedish cousin of Americana would sound like? Hit play on Slim Loris and you’ll find out. The Stockholm-residing quartet marry glossy country sounds with British 60’s invasion and 90’s indie rock, producing a sound that’s both nostalgic and refreshingly original. With their newest offering, ‘Burning Elephant’, the four-piece lean towards an edgier, rockier sound, propelled by thudding bass and driving drums. It’s quite the departure from the melancholia of their first three albums, and indicates a more uplifting sound on their forthcoming record ‘Wild & Untamed’, due on May 2. Listen to ‘Burning Elephant’ below.
